Many Malibu luxury homes have access to and views of some of the more than twenty miles of exclusive beachfront real estate. “The Bu” is home to many of the world’s richest people who enjoy waking up to the sound of the ocean and entertaining above the beach as the sun sets. The population base sits within 100 yards of the ocean but there are fantastic homes up in the canyons and overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Bordered by the naval town of Port Hueneme to the West, the Santa Monica Mountains to the North, and cosmopolitan Santa Monica to the South, luxury homes in Malibu offer a quieter lifestyle for most residents than its larger neighbor to the south. Because it faces South, Malibu is the ideal beachfront community in Southern California. Add premium restaurants and shops and Malibu is beloved by its long time residents. Because Malibu is so close to downtown Los Angeles it is also an ideal location for residents that do business in the city or travel frequently from Los Angeles International Airport, LAX.
